Margo Goldspink comes from a background as Managing Director of a thriving London university company. She became ill with chronic fatigue syndrome or ME, and for eight years was unable to work, read or walk very far.  Amongst many treatments and therapies tried, only nutritional therapy had any  lasting impact.  This turned her life around, giving her more energy than before she became ill.

While exploring how the treatment had worked,  she discovered a vast amount of scientific evidence supporting  nutritional medicine.  Now qualified  in this cutting-edge new science with a BSc in Nutritional Medicine, she also has also a Diploma in Iridology to add to her MA and PhD in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University.
Having completed a postgraduate course at the Functional Medicine University, she is a certified practitioner of Functional Medicine, an advanced approach using sophisticated scientific functional tests to identify the root biochemical and metabolic causes of health issues. She is presently  following other postgraduate studies in Nutritional Medicine.

Fields of particular interest include chronic fatigue,   mood and brain disorders,  infertility,  food allergies and gastro-intestinal conditions.

Recently qualified as a First Line Therapy practitioner, Margo is now able to offer programmes focussing on therapeutic lifestyle change using a state-of-the art bioimpedance monitor, the only medically approved device of its kind.  This can help to address obesity, cardiovascular disease and blood sugar imbalance, as well as to monitor muscle maintenance in  athletes.

Your consultation
Every consultation is a confidential session with Margo Goldspink.   Prior to the consultation,  we ask you to complete a health questionnaire which provides key background information and makes the consultation more efficient.    The first consultation explores your current health concerns and symptoms, but also looks at details of your past health and medical problems, diet and family health history.

Your report
Following the consultation, you will receive a report with dietary, supplement and lifestyle recommendations designed to help you address your health goals.   The approach is both scientific and holistic, addressing each person as a whole, since many organs are interdependent and mind and body are so closely linked.

If you are already receiving medical treatment for a condition, The Olive Tree Clinic will liaise with your GP, with your permission,  to determine the best joint programme for you.
